Considering the protection of the environment and the ecosystem in general as an essential objective to be achieved and constantly improved, the Company Management of Trafileria Lariana Drawing Steels SpA defines the following fundamental principles that it intends to support:
•act in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, adopting all the preventive measures necessary to safeguard the environment and the ecosystem of the territory in which it is located, aiming in particular to prevent any form of environmental pollution;
•provide full cooperation to local communities and competent territorial bodies, ensuring complete transparency in information and communication to the outside;
• implement the consultation and participation of the Interested Parties, also through their representatives, and of the interested parties, and in particular of the subcontractors, in all sectors of the environment, health and safety at work;
• require employees, collaborators and suppliers, each within the scope of their respective responsibilities and competences, to operate in compliance with the principles set out in this Policy
• pursue continuous improvements of its Environmental Management System.
In order to pursue these objectives, the Company Management undertakes to:
• Make use of internal or external specialist advice to periodically monitor the application of current laws and regulations, integrating them with systematic assessments carried out by those in charge, to limit the risks of events and reports/sanctions by the designated territorial bodies
• Promote information and training for all personnel on the Environment, in relation to their activities and this Policy, with the aim of involving them in the prevention and protection of the Environment, for themselves and for others
• Comply with the provisions of environmental laws
• Prevent uncontrolled spills on the ground
• Prevent the risk of fire
• Ensure compliance with the limit values for emissions into the atmosphere
• Improve waste management activities, respecting the waste separation criteria to promote separate collection, encouraging recovery and/or recycling rather than disposal
• Effectively use the natural resources necessary for production processes, such as energy and water, promoting containment and reduction of consumption
• Involve external collaborating companies, encouraging them to correctly manage environmental aspects.
In order to achieve the objectives set out above, the Management undertakes to provide adequate resources in terms of equipment, machinery, human resources and training at various organizational levels.
